Youth

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young. Set an example for the believers in what you say and in how you live. Also set an example in how you love and in what you believe. Show the believers how to be pure.

1 Timothy 4:12

Our Vision here at Saint Paul for Youth Ministry is to enter into the lives of teens to better understand who they are so that we may love them and walk with them and lead them towards being Rooted in Christ, Growing in Grace, and Reaching the Lost. We look to practice this vision for teenagers in Christ in all that we do!

We value, Relationships, Teaching, Discipleship, and prayer

EVENTS

National Youth Gathering

Held every three years since 1980, the LCMS National Youth Gathering provides thousands of youth and adults the opportunity to come together as a community of God’s people to be encouraged in their walk with Jesus Christ and learn about the Christian faith and their Lutheran identity. The Gathering is more than the five days of the event. The preparation process for the Gathering brings together young people and supportive adults to encourage each other in their baptismal identity. The Gathering provides young people a vision for the vastness of Christ’s Church and equips them for vocational service as they continue their walk with Jesus.

This year St. Paul was proud to have 20 youth and four adults attend the gathering in Houston.

Confirmation

Confirmation here at St. Paul is focused on relationships: the supporting the relationship that God has established with each of our youth, through the waters of Holy Baptism, growing in relationships with their peers, and establishing relationships with others in the Church!

Over the three years of confirmation here at St. Paul, youth will go through an overview of the Bible for a year, spend a year walking through Luther's Small Catechism, and also a year on what it looks like to follow Christ throughout the rest of their lives.

At right is our 2024 confirmation class that was confirmed on Sunday, May 19, 2024.
